Why Are We Afraid Of Change

It all starts in our heads...

Intelligent conscience
Is better off without ego.
Imagine ego without intelligence.
Judging by our actions, that's us.

But we can change.

Our biggest barrier for change is our Ego.

If our life is 'OK', to change may be hard for us because we focus on what is, instead of what could be. I realise that a yogi may disagree, telling us that we should live in the moment. I guess the truth lies in the middle and that we should do our best every moment, with our future in mind.

There will be many people on the path of change, who will disagree with our reasoning and with our presentation of facts, there always will be. They have the right to disagree. We need to get along with them too, and find ways to coexist. No One said this would come easy. The hardest to convince will be those misinformed, angry, irrational, mistreated and disappointed folks, fanatic patriots and fanatically religious people. For example, people who use 'leftist', liberal', 'socialist, 'capitalist' or 'republican' as an insult. People who use words they don't know the meaning of, most importantly the word 'socialist'. (socialist is not the same as 'social'.) People who make up 'false facts', only to bring about their point.

Those people need our attention most, and the only way to get them to see what is going on, is by example, by becoming role models. So, let us lead better lives, so they can see.

Dealing with difficult people is addressed here.
